Ladies who Lunch

I had to go to work today while Rach, Becki, Hailey, Anne, and Sophia went shopping, but they stopped by to have lunch with me. : D

I was so excited for my co-workers to meet my family and put faces to names. We walked over to the little deli next door and ordered lunch and then came back to my office to eat in the conference room. I figured it would be easier to talk and Sophie could play on the floor. The hour went by so quickly; I do enjoy time with my sisters and nieces!

Perpetual Christmas!

Rachel flew in from Buffalo, NY on Tues. Dec. 16th and Doug arrived Sun. the 21st (after a whole day of traveling due to delays at each airport he flew in to, stupid snow!) It is so nice to have them back home...it's like they never left the basement tee hee! I wish they were still living in Utah.

Mom, Dad, Rach, Doug, Grandma Faye, and I had a quiet Christmas day. (Hy, Anne, and Sophie were in Vegas with Anne's family). Dad had to come wake me up at 9 o' clock. We had breakfast and then I sat and waited and waited and waited for Rach and Doug to get home from his parents house. Rach played Santa and we passed around the gifts that we were available, for you see we draw names and since half the family was out of town; half the presents were missing or not for us. Dad and I got remote controlled cars from Santa; a good laugh was had by all as I tried to steer my souped up bug!

Becki and Hailey flew in on Fri. Dec 26th while Jason and the rest of their motley crew drove the 10 hrs from Colorado Springs...we thought weather would interfere with their travels as well, but everyone made it safe and sound.

Hy, Anne, and Sophie came over on Sun. Dec. 28th and we had our second Christmas with all the family there. Jason and Becki's kids all went bonkers opening gifts (sans Hailey, who was conked out in her baby carrier) and Sophie was having a blast with all the wrapping paper and ribbons. She also got her first taste of a candy cane and was none to happy when it was taken away (Hy and Anne say sugar is verboten until she's at least 1 yr old).

Annual Girl Party!

Saturday Dec. 20th was the Annual Girl Party!

We did it a little differently this year, instead of dinner we did lunch. (I think we'll go back to doing dinner next year, it seemed to flow better). It is always so fun to get together with all the ladies on my mom's side of the family. We hangout, talk, eat, watch White Christmas, eat, tie quilts for all the babies born that year (yipee for Sophie, Cooper, and Hailey, cutie pies!), and eat some more. It's something I look forward to every December! Love all you ladies very much!

From 1990 to 2008....18 years

I get to visit Rachel and Doug in Buffalo this Febraury. Niagra Falls is in their neck of the woods and they've said the Canadian view is better. Since you need a passport to cross the board now I dug up my old passport and got new pics taken so I can submit my renewel... let's just say pictures are worth a thousand words!

I think I'd take the bug eye glasses and braces back if I could have that skinny little face too...but I must admit my eyebrows are much nicer now lol!
